The So Lows
began as a songwriting collaboration between Ronnie Rael & Molly Miller. Their shared inspiration led to the creation of their first effort as a band, ALTO, a 10-track album of all original material. Alto is the result of The So Lows' dedication to make authentic, emotive and unapologetically raw music.
A B O U T
With a deep love for rock n roll, the band’s appreciation for everything from rhythm and blues, to country to proto-punk is evident in their unique sound. Self-produced and recorded with the help of engineer David Cragin at his New Mexico studio (Santa Fe Soundworks), Alto is an ode to rock n roll and cosmic soul.
Alto received a warm reception from the underground rock n roll scene, connecting the band with listeners around the world, earning repeated plays on Sirius XM's Little Steven's Underground Garage by the legendary Genya Ravan, and radio play on stations across the US and internationally. In 2019, the band began preparing to record their next album. The So Lows were then invited to play Gram Parsons InterNational XII with acts including The Burrito Brothers, Kai Clark Band, Ronnie Guilbeau Band, Larry Patton Band, and Walter Egan & the Walternatives. After completing the So Lows lineup with Barron Preuss on bass, Troy Krusz on guitar/keys/harmonica, and Haven A. Goodtime on drums, the band embarked on a successful month-long tour in November, 2019. The band is now focused on completing their sophomore album and getting back on the road.
